Friends, it has come to my attention that we finally have evidence of the two earliest Swedish Mafia families.
The Swedish Hawk Mafia lays claim to the underworld of Chicago. Rumors tell of a secret distillery in the basement of United Center. This crime family is in general full of younger Swedes, who have allied themselves with at least one known Finn. But who will emerge as the leader? Will their youth hamper their rise to power in the Madhouse?
The Swedish Ranger Mafia rules Midtown Manhattan with an iron fist. Their godfather, as far as can be inferred, is the angel-faced Henrik Lundqvist, whose twin brother runs the other branch of the family still based in Sweden (for more information on this branch, see the forthcoming book The Frolunda Experiment). They are organized and their leader is well-known throughout the city, often affectionately called Hank/Henke by the residents of New York who feel some sort of quiet admiration for the mob boss.
Rumors of a Vancouver family are still unconfirmed, as are a reports of a possible family in Ottawa. The latter have kept their heads down and noses clean, staying for the most part off the radar.
Whatever interaction you have, in any stronghold of these rival families, you do not threaten The Family, for your sake, and of those you love.
While your research is mostly sound, you are factually incorrect on one crucial detail.
The earliest Swedish mafia stronghold was the Swedish Red Wing Mafia, established in Detroit by one N. Lidstrom almost twenty years before these families were established. He and his cohorts, H. Zetterberg, J. Ericsson, N. Kronwall, T. Holmstrom, and a man known only as “The Mule” have allied themselves with Mr. Datsyuk, a powerful Russian with ties to others in The League.
